Clinical Management Board (CMB)

The CMB provides executive management of the GPCo and has full operational responsibility and clinical accountability.

Others can be co-opted onto the Board and of course the CMB may call upon a wide range of expertise as it sees fit.

 

CMB Role

The main objectives of the CMB are set out in Section 8 of the LLP Agreement itself and in summary are to provide the following objectives:

• Oversee the delivery of the business plan
• Oversee the clinical governance of the GPCo
• Negotiate and amend the terms of working capital, services and service levels
• Set and manage terms of appointment of providers and the quality standards
• Act as an advisory body to the practice members in connection with the business
• Manage the day-to-day operation of the GPCo
